This joint exhibition designates two different approaches towards loss, memories, home and identity. We are twin sisters born in Slovakia 1996, and after a life changing move to Northern Ireland in 2010, we have found a strong connection to a feeling of home in nature. We have been developing our practices in painting and lens based experimental discipline for the past several years during our BA and MFA degree.

In our current practices, we are both exploring ideas of home, identity, and memory. We are interested in creating landscapes that aim to make the viewer feel a comforting sense of nostalgia. Our connection and perception of the landscape has developed into an appreciation of the natural world around us.

Experimental approaches towards painting, drawing have found discoveries through thin layers of paint as well experimenting with photography techniques to introduce narrative image making and mixed media approach towards this subject matter.
