Ciaran Dallat

We are delighted to announce a new solo show brought to you by a recent Ulster University graduate, artist @ciaran_dallat_art, who just won the Platform Arts Graduate Award. The show will be at the window display Mon-Sun from the 6th July until the 6th August.

The installation contains 300 clay and 300 plaster rats that make up the “congregation of rats”. The thought behind the rats was to change the audience perspective on how things are traditionally viewed from various heights and perspectives. An aim was to challenge the perception of the rats. Each rat has been hand made to give each its own individuality and personality.

Ciaran Dallat is an artist from Ballycastle in Country Antrim, Ireland, who creates 2D and 3D artworks in a range of media including plaster, wood, metal and recyclable materials. Clay or wood are his essential elements in starting a product. Ciaran’s drawings often underpin his large scale sculptures. Through drawing and sculpture the artist imagines, develops and brings his art to life.
