Platform Arts is pleased to present TBL – The First Decade, a retrospective of TBL (TallBlondLadies) ten-year collaboration.

TBL (TallBlondLadies) are an internationally acclaimed Swedish/German performance duo. TBL work with the image of women, creating metaphors of various female types through structured, formal performance. Their performances are rooted in synchronized patterns of movement. Sound, too, is vital here. Both sound and form are used in rhythmic repetition, producing a sense of timelessness over several hours in TBL’s live long-duration performances. Audiences are invited to experience these performances over the whole or part of their duration.

Anna Berndtson (Sweden) and Irina Runge (Germany) are TBL, a duo with a playful approach to durational performance art. Having established their practice over the last ten years, this exhibition celebrates their collaboration through an exhibition of seven of their most seminal works, followed by three durational performances on the 7th, 8th and 9th November.
